New Roof

And It Begins......

Our roof was leaking last December from all the big storms that we had. We finally are getting our new roof put on...we were on a really long waiting list....as well as us procrastinating to call anyone for a few months right after it happened. This is pretty much our Christmas present to each other....what a bummer!!! But at least it will last for at least another 15 years or 20 years (as the warranty we have from them is a 20 year warranty). We have officially found out what home ownership means; although I would take this anytime over living in a stinkin apartment.

Getting a new roof can indeed be a little stressful and is not always easy on the budget. That’s why it’s important to invest in a roofing material that can last for a long time. This will prevent you from worrying about repair expenses. These days, most people are going with metal roofs. Metal roofs are not only more durable, they are also lightweight and usually kinder on savings than other popular roofing materials.

I totally agree with Saundra. A roof made from durable materials would definitely be worth every penny. Keep in mind though that the cost of the materials doesn’t totally define the quality of the roof. Asphalt roofs, for example, are lightweight and long-lasting, but costs less than metal roofs.
