The Hobart 5: June 2008

The past week or so has been busy for us....

Uncle Kevin, Aunt Malena, and cousin Anna (15 mths) came to Alb from Louisana to visit all the family. We were so excited to see them and had a blast hanging out with them throughout the week. I think we actually were able to visit with them more this time then during the holidays as the holidays are crazy busy for everyone. Riley, Jacob, and Anna did well together and are still at the play side-by-side age for the most part. They did however share snacks, hug, and kiss each other one evening (very cute) and when one is upset the others check on him/her to see if they were okay. We did have "tantrums and tempers" every once in awhile when toys were taken or when someone was beyond tired. We all went to the aquarium one afternoon and ran around the park on another day. Ry and Jake warmed up to Uncle Kevin and Aunt Malena pretty quick and loved playing with them...and cuddling with Aunt Malena. Jake and Ry were cool with playing but we were all really excited that our little shy girl wanted to cuddle with Malena. Of course Jake would horse play with just about anyone....and would rather be tossed around then cuddled. We wish they were here more....but glad they are doing well in LA.

Last week was also a long week for mom as dad had to go to San Diego for work....this was the first time mom stayed with the twins alone throughout the night (week). Overall it went good...we kept busy with having friends and family come over and play and have dinner. BUT mom is sure glad that dad is back!!! Thanks to our family and friends that helped us through the week!!
