Pumpkin patch

Last Friday we were invited to go along with some friends to the Pumpkin Patch in Moriarty....we had a lot of fun (Thank you for inviting us Beth and Frank!!). The kids were able to go on a hayride, pick out their own pumpkin, and hang out for the day playing on slides, climbing hay, visiting animals, and they loved playing in a tunnel made out of hay. They had a blast!!!

Visiting some friends....and growing up fast

This weekend we had a great visit from three kids...the oldest two are the girls that I (Traci) used to be a nanny for years ago. Blaque (gray shirt) is the oldest...almost 12, Brook (green) is the middle child (10 yrs), and their younger brother Jon who is 7. They came to hang out with us on Friday... I find it hard to believe that Blaque is now almost old enough to babysit Jake and Ry...I was their nanny when Blaque was 6 months old and Brook just a newborn. It's crazy how time flies!!!

Jake and Ry are growing up fast....Jake is now saying everything (or at least attempting to) and they are listening even when we don't think they are....as Jake repeats almost every last word of what is said. Ry is not far behind...she is starting to say more things and will sometimes try to repeat what is said...but if you ask her to say something she gets shy and clams up most of the time. She does not like to show off her ability as much as Jake does. They both know all of their colors, can count from 1-3 at least, and are working on saying and identifying ABC....they can say all of them and can definitely identify A, D, M, J, R, O, X. M seems to be the most important though...as they say "M....MMMM, Mama" (that's how it should be; right moms?).

Balloon Fiesta

We really wanted to take Ry and Jake to the balloon fiesta this year and planned on going this weekend...yet watching the weather we decided to go on Thursday morning to the special shapes as the weather was going to be bad for the weekend. So Thursday morning at 5:45am we moved Jake and Ry out of their beds into the truck...trying to be quiet and careful so that maybe they would stay asleep and sleep on the way to the fiesta. Yea...Right!! They woke up as they we were getting them into the truck and saying "night night....shhh, shhh....mama....da da". So....they didn't sleep in the truck on the way over...but they did great at the fiesta and loved watching all the balloons. They were pointing at all of them and saying what they were...Everytime one lifted off Jake would wave and say "bye..bye". It was really fun for all of us!! We'll probably take them next year again and maybe even the balloon glow.
