Jake and Ry’s names!!!

Things like this make me realize that Jake and Ry are getting older….too fast at times!  They both can write their names by themselves!!!   We need to work on our “e” for Ry and work on how Jake holds his pencils/markers….other than that they always seem to impress us.   

Happy Birthday Parks!!!

Parker’s second birthday was Saturday….we had a simple party with just us and both sets of Grandparents.  We had an awesome dinner (thanks Daddy) that included smoked chicken, steak, and ribs.    Parker loved opening presents, blowing out his candles, and licking off the cars from his birthday cake.    Jake and Ry enjoyed celebrating with little brother (and opening brother’s presents)…here are  pics (click to enlarge). 

Yay for SNOW!!!

Today was a great snow day….had to take advantage of the snow that we don’t get but 2-3 times a year.   We have a great park close to us that has a good sledding hill for little kids….it’s nice to just go to the park for an hour and come home to a warm house.    The kids loved playing in it (even the dogs loved it):

Car show!

Having two boys that are infatuated with cars, of course, we are at the car show this past weekend.   We saw some really nice cars and it gave Clint even more motivation (like he needs more, right?) for his coming project that he is saving for and planning on building when the kids are in middle school (yes….the Cobra (but what color)!).   The kids were able to sit in a couple of cars and one of the guys that runs the quarter midgets (mini sprints for kids)  did a fine job in talking Clint into having the kids race when they turn 5.   HHMMM….I’ll have to think about that one.
