OH...BABY!!!!

SURPRISE!!! So for some of you who don't know.....

More than a few months ago we had the surprise of Our lives....

Yes....Ry and Jake are going to be big sister and brother the end of February/early March. Mom is in the sixth month of pregnancy....here is the latest ultrasound. As everyone knows the twin pregnancy was difficult and Mom continues to be worried about this pregnancy; however our doctor apointment on Friday the doctor said everything looked great!!! He always reminds me that twin pregnancies are a whole lot different than single pregnancies and he isn't worried about this one as the twins were carried to full term. Dad is excited about a new baby on the way...while Mom just wants the pregnancy to hurry along and the baby just to be here. We talk about the baby with Ry and Jake and they seem excited about it as now everything is a Mama (big things) and baby (little things) or Dada and baby. Ry and Jake are now in big beds and we all said "bye" to the cribs...the "baby beds" and they completely understand that they are no longer babies but big kids. They also point to Mama's belly and say "baby".... Thank you to all of you for your support and Please continue your good thoughts/prayers for us and this healthy baby on the way. We will continue to update everyone on everything!!

Dad's birthday weekend

Happy Birthday to Daddy on Friday!!! Dad had a "birthday weekend".....Thursday mom and dad were able to go to a jazz concert that featured Rob Wilkerson (Clint went to school with him) while Grammy and Grandpa Lane babysat. On Friday Dad received guitar hero for Wii and some candy for his birthday. Saturday Grammy and Grandpa babysat again so that mom and dad could go out with some good friends to dinner and a movie...went and watched "Role Models" (very funny if you have that sense of humor!!!). On Sunday we went to the aquarium/bio park (it was a really nice day) and had a really good time hanging out with the fishes and watching the trains. It was an awesome weekend....HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday!!!!

Ry and Jake had their 2nd birthday on Sunday!!! Mom and Dad can't hardly believe that another year has flown by....seems like year 1-2 flew by faster then the year before!! We had a birthday party planned for Saturday...but unfortunately had to delay it to next weekend as Jake and Ry were both sick....colds and fevers. We wanted them to be able to enjoy their party so we are all looking forward to this Saturday...the party will be small and include family and a couple close friends (will post pictures next weekend). We are still wanting to keep their party small until they are older and really have a good idea of the whole birthday-party thing. They were doing better on Sunday...Ry had a low grade fever with a stuffy nose and Jake had a runny/stuffy nose with no fever...so they were in okay spirits to open their birthday gifts from mom and dad in the afternoon and have some ice cream after dinner. Jake received a semi-truck, take apart car, and Mater from Cars the movie. Ry received a Barbie car, Hicks from Cars movie, and a Doodle pony. So they are enjoying their new toys this week and I'm sure will love to see what they get next weekend...it only took one present to open to figure out that there was good stuff wrapped up in the paper when they opened their gifts on Sunday. The party should be fun and looking forward to them feeling 100% better as well as hanging out with friends and family.

Happy Halloween

This year Ry and Jake were race car drivers (of course) as they both really like cars/trucks. Grandma Hobart made their Halloween outfits (the back of the outfist says "NASCAR Twin series" and Dad turned their wagon into a race car (Lightning McQueen from the movie Cars....back of the car says "trick or treat"). Dad dressed up as well....as their car mechannic (love the teeth and the grease on his face...give thanks to the Blazer having an oil drip). They were a little hesitant about the whole "trick or treat" concept. Jake and Ry would both walk up and knock at the doors...and would say "trick or treat" until someone actually showed up at the door. Riley would then grab our hands and hide behind our legs while Jake was more social...he would take the candy, he would then get candy for his sister, and he would say "tank you...by bye". Jake enjoyed riding in the wagon and Ry walked most of the time. It was a fun night...we made it short though as Jake and Ry were both catching colds...Jake had a low grade fever...but still had fun). Of course at the end of the night we had to check out all the candy and eat the biggest one of all!!
